This year International Mother's Day is on Sunday 13th May 2007. Mother's day is the occasion to pay rich tributes to the person who have had a great impact on our lives, a person whose love and care knows no boundaries, a person who does everything to keep her children happy and joyous.

On March 23, 2007 the Annual Manager's Meeting of Fleurop-Interflora was held in Rome, Italy. Delegates from different departments of the famous International flower delivery company (Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Netherland, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Denmark, Estonia, Poland, Israel, Greece, Turkey, United Kingdom and Russia) gathered to discuss company development and to share ideas, concepts and experience. Although these markets differ a lot, they all have a common goal - to make people happy with flowers.

Following the four past years educational program, Interflora Greece has held the International Master Class seminar in Greece, Crete from 11 till 17 of March. This year, the participants were coming from Russia, Norway and Greece.
The "best of the best", as this is the motto for every educational program this year concerning the teachers of the floral design, were there to share their knowledge, experience and art with approximately 20 participants.

Tor Gundersen, from Norway, holding many medal in national and international competitions, has presented floral themes based on fundamental natural material, arranged in such way to fit with our high-speed technology.
Gregor Lersch, coming from Germany, major floral designer with an international reputation, has presented creations and techniques for a bridal bouquet, room design and Linear Design.
The arrangements coming out of this mixing of personal style, talent and love for the detail of teachers and participants, tend to linear design.
Irina Treneva, talented florist from Russia, won the Russian Chapmionship of Florists in September 2006 and Interflora granted her possibility to visit the seminar. She was expressed by talent, personal style and charisma of Gregor
Lersch. In these later years more and more Russian florists visit international seminars.
Interflora S.A. has already announced the next International Master Class Seminar, which will take place from March 30 till April 5, 2008 with Gregor Lersch teaching.

Fleurop-Interflora has joined with Universal Pictures and United International Pictures to celebrate the cinema release of 'The Holiday'. Starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black, 'The Holiday' is a new romantic comedy from writer/director/producer Nancy Meyers. As you remember Interflora gave you possibility to win one of two fabulous holidays to Los Angeles, one of three luxury holidays to the stunning English countryside or one of 50 "Make Up" Seasonal bouquets.
We are happy to inform you about results of the campaign which was held 15 November 2006 - 31 January 2007. All winners were notified, the two trips to Hollywood and the three trips to England are shared between Crippa Oriano and Miriam Verzeletti from Italy, Pat Barella, John Finley from United Kingdom and Barbara Kremser from Austria. We do hope to see Russian names in the list of winners next year!

Every year Interflora France organizes various high profile floral events. They are usually created with the florists of the Interflora France's Floral Art Group. All of them are nationally and internationally recognized as floral masters.
Picture 1. Floral Show - National Floralies, Pau, January 2007. In order to entertain thousands of visitors, the Interflora France Floral Art Group were asked to create a floral costume representing each month of the year.
Picture 2. Fashion Floral Show - Salon du Pret a Porter, Paris, January 2005. The 2005 Paris International trade exhibition of the major fashion creations and companies hosted the Interflora France Floral Art Group for a defile presenting 45 floral fashion accessories.
Picture 3. Floral Show - Interflora France 60th Anniversary, Lido, Paris, March 2006. In order to celebrate Interflora France 60th Anniversary, all local delegates were gathered at the famous Lido for an extraordinary floral defile based on 4 historical periods: "Grande Epoque" (17th and 18th centuries), "Annees Folles" (around 1920 and 1930), "Pop Art" (seventies) and "Future".

By tradition on February 14, the Silver Rain Radio arranged a festive event in the Hermitage Garden for its listeners. A month earlier, a The Most Homeless Pair in Love contest arranged by Alexander Gordon got underway. The contest winners were supposed to spend a romantic night in the radio station office. Finalists had to pass a number of tests: they searched for their beloved tally blindfold, painted each other's portraits, and even waltzed with skis on!

As a result of the audience voting by way of the loudest applause, the worthiest pair was elected, and after the traditional mass Silver Kiss that crowned the holiday in the Hermitage Garden, a poshy automobile brought the winners to the Silver Rain office. Interflora created a romantic atmosphere decorating the room with its nice flower compositions and mosaiced a rose petal heart on the bed that was solemnly presented to the winners later.

On September 1, 2006, within the framework of the Flowers-2006 International Exhibition, the presentation of the Russian representation of Interflora, the world leader of the international flower delivery service, was held. Elena Razumova, the head of the Russian affiliated company, was introduced by the President of Fleurop-Interflora Mr. Ludwig Angeli and Fleurop-Interflora Managing Director Mr. Marc Schmid who came from Zurich for the purpose.

The company started its business in Russia in 1987. Until recently, the Interflora interests in Russia were represented by Interflora-Retrans, headed by Alexey Bulatov.
For the past years, the company has taken a long journey of studying and developing of the Russian flower delivery market. The business conditions changed rapidly, the market extended and grew, and the national floristic made a significant step forward.

All these changes could not but impact our company. The Fleurop-Interflora EBC AG Board of Directors (Interflora European Headquarters in Zurich) took the decision to reorganize the Interflora operations in Russia, to invest in the Russian market development and to found an affiliated company, Fleurop-Interflora LLC. The membership terms and conditions of flower boutiques in the company were reconsidered, the computer order processing software was optimized.

Since December 1, 2005, Interflora has a new quality in the Russian market. Being supported by the past few year base and using the background of experience, the Russian branch operates in close cooperation with the head office of Fleurop-Interflora in Zurich.
The presentation was attended by Fleurop-Interflora Managing Director Mr. Marc Schmid (Switzerland), the Fleurop-Interflora Association President Mr. Ludwig Angeli (Germany), Interflora Greece Vice President Mr. Elias Antonellos (Greece), Fleurop-Interflora LLC General Director Mrs. Elena Razumova.

August 31-September 3, 2006, the All-Russia Exhibition Center pavilion 69 hosted the 13th International Exhibition Flowers-2006 exposition.
Together with the exhibition, the National Guild of Florists held the Russian Professional Florists Championship. Interflora, the world flower delivery service sponsored the Championship and established the prize: a visit to the international master-class in Greece.
